A meeting of the rectorate took place at KSU
On June 16, a regular meeting of the rectorate was held at Kherson State University. The meeting took place with the participation of Rector Oleksandr Spivakovskyi, First Vice-Rector Serhii Omelchuk, vice-rectors, deans of faculties, and heads of structural units, departments, and services.
The main topic of the agenda was reports from faculty deans regarding career guidance activities and preparations for the 2026 admission campaign.
In his opening remarks, KSU Rector Oleksandr Spivakovsky noted that from July 1, the university will operate under a new structure – of unified faculties, which will become powerful educational hubs with competitive educational programs. According to him, there will be changes in the dean's corps related to legislative requirements, time, and the new structure.
"We cannot influence external circumstances, but through internal reforms, we can ensure the future and development of the university. Together, we have done a great deal of work to create the new configuration of faculties, all approvals and expert assessments have been completed, and all necessary decisions have been made. We will succeed in everything, because we are united by shared values, respect, and responsibility for the future of our beloved KSU."
During the meeting, information was presented regarding measures to popularize educational programs implemented by faculties in the 2025–2026 academic year, as well as the results of work on attracting applicants to educational programs.
The deans paid particular attention to analyzing communication channels that proved most effective for promoting EPs and interacting with potential applicants.
Experience in involving educational program guarantors, employers, alumni, and students in career guidance work was also presented. An important direction of career guidance activities was the formation of a team of KSU admission campaign ambassadors. Thanks to active communication with applicants, participation in information events, and the promotion of the university, this format is already demonstrating its effectiveness and contributes to increasing the interest of future applicants.
Furthermore, the meeting participants discussed the development of the faculties' career guidance ecosystem, international activities and international relations, and the holding of lectures, masterclasses, trainings, and consultations that contribute to the popularization of KSU educational programs.
In a separate block, the deans analyzed the projected indicators of the 2026 admission campaign and the possible risks of decreased enrollment, outlining further steps to strengthen career guidance work and effective communication with applicants.
