With profound sorrow, we announce that on June 5, 2026, in his 73rd year of life, Roman Mykhailovych Kozyan passed away. He was an Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine, an Excellence in Education of Ukraine recipient, a talented pedagogue, a choirmaster, and the long-standing director of the academic choir of the Faculty of Education.
Until his very last day, he remained an integral part of the Faculty of Education family — in our thoughts, our memories, and our shared faith in Victory and the return to our home city. We had been eagerly awaiting the day when the academic choir he created would resound once again.
Roman Mykhailovych built more than just a choir; he fostered a distinct atmosphere of sincerity, creativity, and mutual support. He possessed a rare gift for bringing people together, inspiring them, and bringing out the very best in everyone. It is for this reason that he leaves behind a luminous legacy of cherished memories and profound gratitude.
The blessed memory of Roman Mykhailovych will live forever in our hearts, in the minds of his colleagues and students, in the voices of his disciples, and in the music to which he dedicated his entire life.
