As part of the Science Days at Kherson State University, the II Student Scientific and Practical Conference, “Contemporary Scientific Research in Special and Inclusive Education,” organized by the Department of Special Education, was held on May 21, 2026.
The conference served as an important platform for discussing current issues in special pedagogy, speech and language therapy, psychopedagogy, and inclusive education. Participants presented well-founded, informative, and practice-oriented reports that generated significant interest and lively discussion.
Particular attention was drawn to presentations focusing on modern corrective innovations in working with children with special educational needs, the use of information and communication technologies in speech therapy practice, and the development of children's communication skills under martial law conditions. Equally relevant and engaging were reports examining the relationship between speech and emotional regulation in children with autism spectrum disorders, the peculiarities of speech development in bilingual environments, and the application of game-based technologies in fostering coherent speech.
The conference participants demonstrated a high level of academic preparation, a creative approach to research, and a strong commitment to implementing modern methodologies in the practice of special and inclusive education.
