KSU students took part in organizing the "Vinnytsia Medical Rally - 2026"
Students of the medical faculty, specialty 222 «Medicine» of Kherson State University took part in the «Vinnytsia Medical Rally - 2026».
Recently, the large-scale XII Championship of Ukraine in Emergency Medical Care "Vinnytsia Medical Rally – 2026" took place in the Vinnytsia region. These competitions brought together 29 of the best teams from Ukraine, Poland, and Lithuania, who spent two days practicing the most complex algorithms for saving lives in simulated extreme conditions (from road accidents with polytrauma to cardiopulmonary resuscitation).
The Kherson region was worthily represented at the championship by the team of the KNP "Regional Territorial Center for Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine" of the Kherson Regional Council, and representatives of our faculty made a significant contribution to this event.
The professional judging corps, which included our talented students, ensured the particular complexity and high realism of the competitions:
Olena Maksymenko – worked as part of the assistant judges. Olena is also the head of the training center for Kherson's "emergency services". A mandatory condition for her involvement was the presence of a valid certificate as a pre-hospital care instructor. She not only skillfully modeled the victims' conditions but also performed a responsible mission – assessing the non-technical skills (Non-Technical Skills) of the teams: leadership, communication under stress, and coordination of actions.
Serhii Yehorov and Pavlo Zelenskyi – students of specialty 222 Medicine, who demonstrated high professionalism, endurance, and deep knowledge of emergency medical care algorithms, helping to ensure clarity, impartiality, and a high organizational level in conducting the competition scenarios.
Following intense competition, the team of the Kherson Regional EMS and DM Center took 19th place in the overall standings. However, the true triumph was that in one of the most difficult competition stages, the Kherson medics demonstrated the absolute best result and secured a confident 1st place! The award for this victory was a state-of-the-art portable Butterfly ultrasound machine.
The participation of KSU students in events of such a level is important for honing the practical skills that save lives every day in crisis situations and under shelling.
