On May 14, within the framework of the international Erasmus+ BURN initiative, the second module of the training «Sensitivity Training for university staff working with students affected by the war» took place at the KSU Center for Psychological Resilience and Well-being.

This meeting brought together students and university faculty for shared learning on resilience.

Focus of the training:

  • Understanding trauma: how lived experience affects our emotional state, learning, and behavior.
  • Psychological first aid: how to notice in time that someone nearby is struggling and respond correctly.
  • Safe environment: how to create a space together where everyone feels protected.
  • What was practiced in practice:

  • Mastered effective tools and techniques of psychological first aid.
  • Analyzed real-life cases and sought healthy solutions.
  • Shared experiences through live interaction and shared reflection.

The main conclusion of the meeting was the realization that a safe and supportive educational space is created through collective efforts. When students and faculty possess psychological assistance skills, the university becomes a true place of strength.
