The team of Kherson State University, led by Rector Oleksandr Spivakovskyi, participated in the celebrations marking the 86th anniversary of the founding of Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University and the 155th anniversary of the birth of the university's patron, Vasyl Stefanyk.

From KSU, Vice-Rector Alla Tsapiv and Oleksandr Lemeshchuk, and Professor Yevheniia Spivakovska also joined.

Vasyl Stefanyk Carpathian National University has been a partner of Kherson State University since 2022.

KSU Rector Oleksandr Spivakovsky congratulated the Rector of Vasyl Stefanyk KNU, Valentyna Yakubiv, the Head of the Scientific Council, Ihor Tsependu, who previously headed the institution, as well as the entire multi-thousand university community, on the anniversary of the institution's founding. He emphasized that the true mission of a university is not just to count years, but to transform time into meaning. And KNU succeeds in this!

«The university forms an elite that further preserves freedom, human freedom, attention to their rights, and the desire to make the future better. Resilience is not only a reaction to a crisis or to the challenges that exist. It is a balance, because when we say we are ready to be flexible, there is a risk of losing agency. And when we are not ready for change, we can be broken. Your university proves that you are able to use any challenge as an opportunity to become better. You are going through the path of a respected university, which is currently in the TOP-6. This is a good example for all of us. I am proud that our universities now have a shared history. When Ukraine wins, returns its lands and people, we will be able to say that in the most difficult times, we were always together», – congratulated his colleagues, KSU Rector Oleksandr Spivakovsky.

As a sign of respect, he presented the painting «Blue Night» by our lecturer, which was rescued and brought out of Kherson. It is a gift of memory that shapes our future history.
