The Rector of KSU spoke at the University of Agder on the topic of crisis management in wartime
During a visit to the University of Agder, the rector of Kherson State University Oleksandr Spivakovskyi gave a presentation dedicated to the architecture of resilience and crisis management of the university in the conditions of war.
It was not only about crisis decisions, but about the deep transformation of the university during the war – about how to preserve the community, trust, academic quality and the ability to develop even in extraordinary conditions.
According to the Rector of KSU, special attention was paid to the principles that became the basis for the management decisions of Kherson State University:
- priority of people over processes;
- readiness for constant change;
- combining democratic discussion with rapid and responsible decision-making.
“We shared the experience of relocating the university, preserving digital infrastructure, urgently transferring data to alternative servers, as well as the role of the KSU24 digital ecosystem, which effectively became the operational core of the university and ensured the continuity of the educational process. We also spoke separately about partnership as the foundation of resilience — cooperation with the Carpathian National University, international partners and a new model of interaction between universities, based not on competition, but on complementarity.
For us, it is extremely important that the Ukrainian experience today is a subject of professional international dialogue. After all, Ukrainian universities are currently demonstrating to the whole world: even in the most difficult conditions, one can not only survive but also develop, become stronger and move forward”,– commented KSU Rector Oleksander Spivakovskyi.
