The Vice-Rector of KSU presented the experience of digital transformation in managing the quality of education.
Vice-Rector for Digitalization, Innovation, Investment Activity and Scientific-Pedagogical Work Oleksandr Lemeshchuk presented the experience of Kherson State University during the panel discussion «Education Quality 4.0: how digital tools transform internal quality assurance systems of educational institutions».
The event was organized by the Kharkiv IT Cluster in strategic partnership with the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance. Participants included representatives from universities, IT companies, educational organizations, and the public sector—a professional community that shapes the modern agenda in the field of education quality.
Oleksandr Lemeshchuk delivered a presentation titled «From intuition to numbers: building an internal education quality assurance system based on a data-driven approach».
At the center of attention was the experience of transforming university management through systematic work with data and the creation of an integrated digital ecosystem. In particular, the experience of implementing the KSU24 corporate platform as a «single source of truth» was presented, which integrates educational, managerial, and analytical processes: from admission and studies to HR, finance, and strategic planning. Such an approach allows for a transition from intuitive decisions to clear analytics, ensuring process transparency, response speed, and significantly improving the quality of management.
Among other things, the speaker also shared experience in overcoming the challenges of digital transformation, primarily referring to the human factor.
According to Oleksandr Lemeshchuk, the strategy for overcoming these challenges lies in a paradigm shift: KSU is moving from control to support, demonstrating «quick wins» for teachers through reporting automation and involving them in the data-driven decision-making process.
And since the KSU24 platform is a tool that is constantly changing and improving, the next step will be the transition to an intelligent ecosystem. We are working on implementing AI tools, where intelligent assistants for students and teachers will replace simple databases.
KSU Rector Oleksandr Spivakovsky and Vice-Rector Oleksandr Lemeshchuk thanked the organizers for the opportunity to present KSU's experience and to participate in forming a new culture of education quality management.
