KSU student journalists visited the "Channel 402" television and radio company
As part of the in-person learning week at the Faculty of Ukrainian and Foreign Philology, Journalism and Arts of Kherson State University, students of the «Journalism» specialty visited the «Channel 402» television and radio company in Ivano-Frankivsk.
They familiarized themselves with the work of the media and saw how the editorial process is organized.
During the meeting, representatives of the channel spoke about the work of various areas — television broadcasting, radio «Western Pole» and the website «Reporter», and also explained how content is created for different platforms. Participants learned about the stages of material preparation — from information gathering to going on air or publication.
Also, a round table titled «Current problems of the modern media space in the conditions of the Russian-Ukrainian war» was held at the channel's base, where the challenges faced by Ukrainian media were discussed. During the visit, students spoke with representatives of the media sphere, met specialists, and witnessed an interview with the TNMK group.
Particular attention was paid to practical training: it covered internship opportunities and the skills necessary for future journalists — versatility, promptness, and the ability to quite work with different formats.
The excursion provided an opportunity to deepen knowledge, ask questions to specialists, and better understand the specifics of working in media.
