A meaningful and relevant lecture was conducted on the topic: “Correctional and Developmental Work in Special Education” within the educational component Special Pedagogy with History. The participants of the lecture were first-year students majoring in Special Education.
During the lecture, the peculiarities of organizing correctional and developmental work in special education were discussed. The main emphasis was placed on the paradigm: our goal is to help the child become максимально independent, unlock their potential, and prepare for полноценное life in society.
During the lecture, the following aspects were covered:
- the historical development and formation of special pedagogy;
- principles and directions of organizing correctional and developmental work in both special and inclusive education;
- the structure and methods of correctional and developmental work;
- the role of the correctional teacher and other specialists in supporting a child with special educational needs.
The session was distinguished by a high scientific and methodological level, rich content, interactivity, clear structure, and logical consistency.
