KSU Professor is among the authors of a textbook on comparative studies of the education system for persons with special educational needs
For the first time, a textbook on the comparative study of the education system for persons with special educational needs, "Analysis of the Education System for Persons with SEN," has been published. The publication's authoring team includes KSU Professor Ihor Popovych, as well as Oleh Orlov and Olha Voloshyna.
The textbook is intended for students and teachers of higher education institutions who study educational systems for persons with special educational needs (SEN).
The authors reveal the main aspects of analysis and comparative research of education systems for this category of persons at international and national levels. A feature of the textbook is the analytical model developed by the authors, which encompasses three interconnected dimensions: contextual, structural, and outcome-based. This model allows for a deep investigation of educational systems through various geographical, geopolitical, cultural, political, and economic contexts. The textbook examines key sociocultural, political, and economic factors that influence the development of educational systems for persons with SEN. Additionally, specific examples and recommendations for improving inclusive education are provided.
