А professional dialogue with guarantors of educational programs in Specialty A6 Special Education

On April 10, 2025, representatives of our department had the great honor of joining a professional dialogue with guarantors of educational programs in Specialty A6 Special Education, including specializations A6.01 Speech Therapy and A6.02 Correctional Psychopedagogy. The event brought together the expert experience of colleagues from leading higher education institutions, including Poltava V. H. Korolenko National Pedagogical University, South Ukrainian K. D. Ushynsky National Pedagogical University, Sumy A. S. Makarenko State Pedagogical University, and Khortytsia National Academy.

The organizer and initiator of this productive discussion was Professor N. H. Pakhomova of the Department of Technologies of Correctional and Inclusive Education, Speech Therapy, and Rehabilitation. The main focus of the participants was on the implementation of the provisions of the recently adopted Professional Standard for the group of professions “Speech Therapist Teacher” and “Speech Therapist” into the content of existing educational programs. The guarantors conducted a detailed analysis of the procedure for awarding relevant professional qualifications to graduates, which is critically important for their future successful employment.

In addition to the regulatory requirements of the standard, the meeting actively addressed issues related to updating the titles of educational programs and developing a coherent structure for the distribution of educational components to ensure high-quality training of students. The participants also paid considerable attention to analyzing recent changes in admission rules, enabling higher education institutions to effectively prepare for the upcoming admission campaign.

Overall, the meeting took place in a format of constructive exchange of experience and proved to be highly beneficial for all participants.
