As part of the Erasmus+ «Staff Mobility for Training» program in Klagenfurt (Austria), a KSU delegation led by Rector Oleksandr Spivakovskyi met with the academic coordinator of the partnership, Professor Tilman Roiter.

Also, Oleksandr Spivakovsky, together with the dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy Lyubov’ Petukhova and the Vice-Rector for International Relations Alla Tsapiv, personally congratulated Mr. Tillman on his birthday.

The continuation of the visit was an extremely important meeting in Krumpendorf with the president of the University of Klagenfurt support association «Universitätsbund» Ms. Edda Türk and representatives of the Social Democratic Party of Austria.

At the meeting, they spoke candidly and deeply about Ukraine in the modern geopolitical context, about the resilience of academic communities, about Kherson and Kherson State University. From the history and symbolism of our state to the daily lives of people, the functioning of the economy and universities in the fifth year of the war, as well as our vision for the future—these topics formed the basis of the conversation.

"It was especially important not only to speak but also to show. Photographs of the devastated buildings of KSU, destroyed structures, my house after shelling, as well as footage from the period of occupation and searches by FSB representatives—these are the testimonies that speak louder than any words.

«What can we do for Ukraine?» — a question that was asked by our partners. The answer is obvious: do not stop the support, increase pressure on Russia, help Ukraine, which today defends not only itself but also the values of all Europe.

Such meetings are more than just communication. They are about building trust, strengthening partnerships, and a shared vision of the future. Every such dialogue is another brick in the strong bridge of support between Ukraine and the European Union," – noted Oleksandr Spivakovsky.
