Оnline meeting titled “The Word That Builds a State: A Conversation on Language Resilience”
On February 18, 2026, an online meeting titled “The Word That Builds a State: A Conversation on Language Resilience” was held at the Faculty of Education of Kherson State University with students of groups 101, 103, and 201, dedicated to the International Mother Language Day.
The invited guest of the event was Larysa Nitsoi — a well-known Ukrainian writer, educator, and civic activist.
During the event, participants had the opportunity to discuss highly important issues for modern education. The conversation focused on how children’s literature forms the foundation of national identity and influences the development of a child’s worldview. The discussion also addressed why language resilience is especially significant today, and how it is connected to dignity, self-awareness, and the professional responsibility of an educator. In addition, the creative path of the writer and her experience in engaging children with their native language were highlighted.
The meeting was deep and meaningful, inspiring participants to value the Ukrainian language even more and to recognize its vital role in shaping both the individual and the state.
