The Department of Special Education held a career guidance event for students of Lyceum No. 24 of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council titled “Two Perspectives on One Profession.” Around 60 students from grades 10–11 took part in the event.
The purpose of the meeting was to familiarize high school students with the specifics of the professions of speech therapist and correctional psychopedagogue, as well as with the opportunities offered by studying at the Faculty of Education in the “Special Education” program.
During the meeting, first-year bachelor’s and second-year master’s students shared their personal learning experiences, spoke about the unique aspects of their future profession, international educational opportunities, and the financial advantages of working in the field of special education.
The school students actively participated in the discussion, asking questions about entrance exams, features of distance learning, and employment prospects. The event took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, fostering active communication between the students and schoolchildren.
Such initiatives help future applicants better understand their professional interests and make an informed choice of their future specialty.
