Meeting of the Academic Council of the Faculty of Education!

On January 24, 2025, the Faculty of Education held a regular meeting of the Academic Council, during which key issues aimed at improving the faculty's operations and educational process were discussed.

The meeting began with a discussion of an essential aspect: career guidance activities at the faculty. Lyubov Petukhova, Acting Dean of the Faculty, opened this topic, emphasizing the importance of attracting prospective students through well-organized events and active collaboration with secondary education institutions. She outlined the main directions for this work and called for the integration of modern methods and approaches. Department heads continued the discussion by presenting their proposals for open lectures, open house days, interactive events, and other activities designed to promote the faculty's specializations.

The next item on the agenda involved reports from deputy heads of attestation commissions for the second (master's) level of higher education in the specialties 013 Primary Education, 012 Preschool Education, and 016 Special Education for both full-time and part-time formats. The speakers highlighted the high level of preparation of the graduates and provided recommendations for improving the attestation process. Additionally, the council reviewed candidates from the second (master's) level for admission to the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education. Council members unanimously supported the recommendations for their further study in postgraduate programs.

Iryna Tsyupak and Oksana Rodionova presented reports on the results of the credit-exam session, providing analytical data on the academic performance of students in full-time and part-time formats. The meeting also addressed the progress in eliminating academic debts. Department heads, together with group advisors, outlined ways to improve the academic success of first-year students.

Department heads reported on the publication activity of faculty members and their participation in grant programs. The importance of international cooperation and publications in high-impact scientific journals was highlighted.

At the end of the meeting, during the "Miscellaneous" section, several important topics were discussed. Members of the council provided updates on preparations for the international conference "Froebelian Pedagogy in Modern Education: Requirements, Trends, Perspectives," which aims to unite scholars and practitioners from various countries. The necessity of organizing this event at a high level was emphasized. Additionally, issues related to resolving academic debts, clarifying organizational details regarding internship bases, and improving the efficiency of student interaction during practical training were raised. Prospects for automating the ranking system in HSU24 were also discussed, as this would enhance the evaluation process for students.

The meeting concluded with warm wishes for the upcoming semester and expressions of gratitude to all participants for their active involvement and constructive work.
