Today, students had the unique opportunity to attend a lecture led by Associate Professors Alla Leonidivna Vladymyrova and Olena Eduardivna Anisimova from the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of Preschool and Primary Education. The lecture, titled "Using Froebelian Methods in Working with Preschool Children," sparked lively interest among future early childhood educators. The session was conducted in a blended format, involving students from the "Preschool Education" program of Kherson State University (KSU) and two academic groups from Precarpathian National University (PNU).
Professors Lyubov Yevhenivna Petukhova and Nelli Vasylivna Lysenko attended the lecture, emphasizing the importance of understanding and implementing these methodologies in modern education. They noted that mastery of Friedrich Froebel's methods is an essential skill for the effective training of future preschool educators.
Olena Eduardivna Anisimova provided students with a detailed introduction to Froebel’s Gifts—special educational materials that help children grasp key concepts of shape, color, and proportion through play, while also developing fine motor skills and focus. These materials form the foundation of the Froebelian approach, helping children to explore the world through tactile interaction and hands-on learning.
Another highlight of the lecture was a series of musical and movement-based activities led by Alla Leonidivna Vladymyrova. These exercises not only created a joyful atmosphere but also promoted children’s emotional development, coordination, and teamwork. Such activities are an excellent tool for fostering a positive attitude toward learning and strengthening interpersonal skills among young children.
