The Faculty of Business and Law Welcomed New Students at the Online Meeting "Business, Law, and Coffee Breaks: A Freshman's Guide"

**On August 27th, the Faculty of Business and Law of Kherson State University held an online meeting for new students. More than 50 freshmen joined the event, where they had the opportunity to meet faculty members and the administration.**

**Acting Dean of the Faculty, Kateryna Melnykova, opened the meeting by welcoming the freshmen to the beginning of their studies:**

Dear freshmen!

I sincerely welcome you to the Faculty of Business and Law of Kherson State University! Today marks the beginning of a new chapter in your life, and I am pleased that you have chosen our faculty to pursue your higher education.

Entering the university is not just another page in your life; it is the opening of new opportunities and prospects. Here, you will have the chance to unlock your potential, acquire valuable knowledge and skills that will help you become successful professionals in your field.

Our faculty is a place where theory meets practice, where knowledge encounters experience, and where students become leaders. We make every effort to provide you with a quality education, support your initiatives, and give you opportunities to participate in various projects.

You will face many challenges, but also many opportunities. Do not be afraid to set ambitious goals, actively participate in the learning process, engage in scientific research, and take part in the public life of the faculty. Remember that your success depends on your perseverance and desire to learn.

I believe in each of you and am confident that many achievements and victories await you. May this academic year be productive and fruitful for you!

**Valentyna Hennadiyivna Burak, Head of the Department of Hospitality, Restaurant, and Tourism Business, said:**

Our department trains specialists who will be able to introduce innovations in the hospitality and tourism industry. We aim to teach you not only the fundamentals of the profession but also creativity and responsibility, which are essential for a successful career in the hospitality industry.

**Yuliia Viktorivna Ushkarenko, Head of the Department of Economics, Management, and Administration, added:**

The economic knowledge and managerial skills you will gain here will be the foundation of your future. We believe that our graduates will be able to create and manage effective business projects that will be competitive in the global market.

**Viktoriia Serhiivna Petrenko, Head of the Department of Finance, Accounting, and Entrepreneurship, emphasized:**

Financial literacy and entrepreneurial initiative are key components of a successful business. We provide you with not only knowledge but also practical skills that will help you create and manage your own business.

**Professor Vasyl Mykolayovych Stratonov from the Department of National, International Law, and Law Enforcement also addressed the freshmen:**

Legal education is the foundation of your professional development. At our department, you will receive deep knowledge in the field of national and international law, which will enable you to feel confident in the legal arena and tackle the most complex legal issues.

**Svitlana Volodymyrivna Lemeshchuk, Head of the Humanities Department of KSU, emphasized the importance of harmonious student development, discussing opportunities to engage in university public life, and obtaining social scholarships, as well as scholarships from the President and the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.**

**Assistant Dean for Internationalization Anna Volodymyrivna Chmut spoke about the possibilities of international exchange:**

Our students regularly participate in semester exchange programs, which not only allow them to see the world but also gain invaluable study abroad experience, opening new career prospects. We also offer a wide range of language courses to ensure you feel confident in an international environment.

**Assistant Dean for Research Nadia Oleksandrivna Advokatova emphasized the importance of scientific research, noting that "science is the path to new discoveries and opportunities."**

**The meeting was concluded by Kateryna Pozniak, Head of the Student Council of the Faculty of Business and Law, who welcomed the freshmen on behalf of the student government:**
