Kherson State University (KSU) systematically creates opportunities for international activities and academic mobility for its students, with some events marking the beginning of long-term collaborations. One such example is the continuation of Polish-Ukrainian student partnerships initiated during the Summer School in Poznań.
Polish-Ukrainian Student Partnership
In June 2023, Pedagogical Faculty students Karina Tkachenko and Veronika Bevzenko participated in the Summer School for students of pedagogy, defectology, preschool, and primary education in Poznań. They had the opportunity to meet peers from other Ukrainian higher education institutions, as well as students and professors from Polish universities. The participants shared their experiences working with children, engaged in various training sessions, and agreed on future cooperation in the form of joint scientific and didactic project research.
Initiating Collaborative Projects
In December 2023, colleagues from the Faculty of Educational Sciences at Adam Mickiewicz University initiated discussions on specific joint project activities. This cooperation led to Ukrainian and Polish students not only discussing ideas and debating contemporary challenges and current issues but also starting work on a Polish-Ukrainian project in a remote format.
Multidisciplinary Project Work
The implementation of the multidisciplinary project is facilitated by the functioning of 10 working groups, each with its own topic and project leader, comprising both Polish and Ukrainian students. Pedagogical Faculty students participate in two project teams: "Psychology. Civic Education" (Veronika Bevzenko) and "Art" (Karina Tkachenko).
Project Presentation
Currently, all projects have completed their developments. On June 28, 2024, students from both the Polish and Ukrainian sides will have the opportunity to present their results offline at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.
