On June 21, 2024, a discussion of the results of a sociological study on the attitude of Kherson residents to street renaming took place on the Zoom platform. In May 2024, street renaming was completed in Kherson as part of the decolonization campaign. A group of Kherson researchers commissioned by the "Defense" Foundation conducted a survey of public opinion on how the people of Kherson reacted to the renaming. The results were presented by: Mykola Homanyuk, head of the regional branch of the Sociological Association of Ukraine, Candidate of Sociological Sciences; Dementiy Bily, member of the bureau of the regional branch of the Sociological Association of Ukraine, political scientist.
