On 27.02.2021, the traditional competition "Individual Open Cup of the KhSU in the technique of hiking tourism" was held in the KSU gymnasium.
111 athletes of three groups: "Juniors", "Novices" and "Elite" took part in the competition. Quarantine restrictions made adjustments to the competition format: the teams were divided by time and not a large number of athletes were in the sports hall at the same time.
Among the participants of the competition were pupils of the tourist groups: KZ "Center of touristic and local history creativity of students" of the Kherson regional council; Mykolaiv Regional Center of National-Patriotic Education, Tourism and Local History of Pupils; Kherson House of Children's and Youth Creativity; Oleshkiv Center for Children's and Youth Creativity; First Pokrovsky Lyceum of the Nizhny Syrohoz settlement council.
Maksym Makeev (KHBDYUT) and Kateryna Skrypka (KZ CTSKTUM CHOIR) became the winners in the "Junior" group in a fierce fight; Ivan Medynskyi (MOTSNPVTCU) and Oleksandra Malyovan (HBDYUT) in the "Rookies" group. The winners of the "Elite" group were Ukrainian sports tourism masters Oleksandr Kilnytskyi (KSU) and Maria Kolesnikova (MOCNPVTKUM, Mykolaiv).
