On April 23, the world celebrates International English Day! Thus, this week's meeting of KSU English Speaking Club was dedicated to this holiday.
✔️ Together with a representative of the University of Kent, Tracy Bello, and KSU students and staff, we discussed the peculiarities of International English Day. The participants found out that April 23 is the day of William Shakespeare's birth and death, and that traditionally on this day events are held around the world to spread awareness of the history of the English language, its formation as a language of international communication and its current state.
✔️ The participants also played an interesting quiz and, finally, talked about the benefits of speaking English and methods of learning it.
