The 2016 Kherson Oblast youth summer sports games were held in Nova Kakhovka
On April 9-10, 2016, in the city of Nova Kakhovka, Kherson region, the final volleyball competitions among junior teams took place under the program of the VIII summer sports games of youth of the Kherson region in 2016, dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Independence of Ukraine. The winner of the competition among young men in an exciting fight was the Kherson team, which was represented by players from the Kherson State University and the Kherson Physico-Technical Lyceum.
The team consisted of the players of the student national team of KhSU: Vekshin Serhiy, Marynets Maksym, Stasenko Serhiy, Bokov Anton and students of the KhFTL: Buryanin Serhiy, Andriyash Dmytro, Bil Maksym and Stanislav Bürger. At the previous stage, during the zonal competitions, the national team of KhSU and HFTL helped win HFTL players Stratienko Oleksandr and Volyar Bohdan.
The second place in the finals of the 2016 VIII Summer Youth Sports Games of the Kherson region was won by the Skadovsky district team, and the third
place was taken by young volleyball players from the city of Nova Kakhovka.
For girls, the places were distributed as follows: the first were the girls representing the city of Nova Kakhovka, the second were the representatives of the village of Chulakivka (Holoprystansky district), the third were young volleyball players from the village of Vynohradove (Tsyrupynskyi district).
