The KSU English Speaking Club held a festive and final meeting this semester dedicated to the winter holidays: ‘What do You Expect from Winter Holidays?’. It was traditionally joined by representatives of the University of Kent (UK) - Russell Mole, Tracy Bello and Henry Allen, and a Fulbright alumnus - Eric Matherly (USA).
During the event, the guests and students of our university talked about the traditions of celebrating St Nicholas Day, Christmas and New Year in different countries, shared their impressions of the year that is coming to an end and their expectations and hopes for the next year. At the end of the meeting, the students had the opportunity to ask the guests questions, such as ‘What was your best Christmas present?’, ‘Would the guests like to visit Ukraine?’
