Ukraine celebrates the 300th birthday of Hryhoriy Skovoroda

This year, Ukraine celebrates the 300th birthday of Hryhoriy Skovoroda - an outstanding Ukrainian poet, philosopher-mystic, traveler, dreamer and theologian. He gained popularity thanks to his philosophy of "living in truth", a combination of high culture and authentic spirituality. During his lifetime, he, the "Traveling Academy", the "human university" did not publish a single book, instead, readers were always looking for an opportunity to be closer to his work, and his portrait was in many homes in Ukraine in the 19th century.
The scientific library of Kherson University has 55 copies of his works in its funds. Now that our Kherson has been freed from the occupiers of the aggressor country, we will soon have the honor of receiving students who are not indifferent to the power of books.
