Practical training at the medical faculty: a step towards professional mastery

The Faculty of Medicine pays special attention to the practical training of students, because it is practical skills that are the key to a successful career in healthcare and related fields. We offer various opportunities for gaining practical experience for students in the following specialties:

  • 226 Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy: Our students gain practical skills in modern pharmacies, pharmaceutical companies and laboratories. The program includes the study of drug manufacturing technologies, quality control, pharmacognosy, pharmaceutical chemistry and marketing of pharmaceutical products. Future pharmacists participate in production processes, drug analysis, patient counseling and master the principles of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

  • 227 Therapy and Rehabilitation: Practical training of future occupational therapists and physical therapists takes place in clinical settings, rehabilitation centers, sports facilities, and social adaptation centers. Under the guidance of experienced specialists, students master methods of diagnosing functional disorders, develop and implement individual rehabilitation programs, and use modern therapeutic techniques and equipment.

  • 102 Chemistry and 014.06 Secondary education (chemistry): Practical training of chemists and chemistry teachers is a fundamental component of education. Students work in modern educational and research laboratories, where they conduct experiments, analyze substances, master modern methods of chemical synthesis and analysis. Future teachers undergo pedagogical practice in general education institutions, where they acquire skills in teaching chemistry, organizing laboratory work and extracurricular work with students.

  • 222 Medicine: Practical training of doctors is a priority of our faculty. Students begin their acquaintance with clinical practice from the junior years, participating in patient care under the supervision of doctors. In the senior years, they independently keep medical histories, participate in rounds, diagnostic and treatment procedures, and work in clinics. Our students undergo internships in leading medical institutions of the region and the country, where they have the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in practice and gain the necessary clinical experience in various medical specialties.
