• 1975 graduated from the Faculty of Physics of Kharkiv State University named after O.M. Gorky (now National and named after V.N. Karazin) in the specialty Astronomy.
• In 1986 he defended his PhD thesis at the State Astronomical Institute named after P.K. Sternberg at Moscow State University by M.V. Lomonosov
• 2013 defended his doctoral dissertation at the National Pedagogical University named after M.P. Drahomanov

author of the first Ukrainian collections of problems in astronomy and astrophysics "Solar System (K .: Higher School, 2007 – 167 p.) and "Stars"(K.: Education of Ukraine, 2010. – 206 p.), monograph "Training of the Modern Teacher Astronomy"(Kherson: KSU, 2011. – 332 p. co-author (together with S.M. Andrievsky, V.A. Zahozhai, I.A. Klimyshyn)) textbook "General Astronomy"(Kharkiv: PromArt., 2019. – 524 p.)
