Recently, students of Kherson State University took part in a lecture on the course "Academic Integrity", which was held by Professor Serhiy Omelchuk. At his invitation, the director of the KhSU scientific library, Alla Koval, joined the lecture.
The Kherson State University Research Library joined a session on the course "Academic Integrity", conducted by Professor Serhiy Omelchuk. The meeting was dedicated to issues of academic integrity, student responsibility, and the proper use of academic sources.
As part of the Decade of Academic Integrity at Kherson State University, a panel discussion "Publication under Protection" was held on October 24, 2025, organized by the Scientific Library together with the Legal Department.
On October 30, Kherson State University hosted a roundtable discussion “Teaching Integrity: Methods of Teaching Academic Integrity” as part of the Academic Integrity Week.Employees of the KSU Scientific Library joined the event.Academic integrity is not just a rule, but a culture that we form together!
On October 31, 2025, as part of the Academic Integrity Week, an open microphone event “Academic Integrity: Implementation Strategies in Higher Education” was held at Kherson State University.
Director of the Scientific Library of Kherson State University, Alla Koval, participated in the work of the expert group on the accreditation of the educational program "Information Systems and Technologies".
On September 19, 2025, the Scientific Library of Kherson State University held the second training seminar for first-year students of the Master's degree level.
On September 18, 2025, the Scientific Library of Kherson State University held an online seminar for Bachelor's degree applicants.The event brought together almost 100 first-year students, who had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the library's resources and services.
On August 29, 2025, the final day of the KSU Summer School of Professional Development was held, dedicated to the university's digital services.
On August 28, 2025, as part of the KSU Summer School of Professional Development, a day dedicated to the use of artificial intelligence in scientific, educational, and managerial activities was held.
On August 27, 2025, as part of the KSU Summer School of Professional Development, classes were held on the topic of emotional burnout and the implementation of electronic document management.
On August 26, 2025, a thematic day dedicated to artificial intelligence was held as part of the Summer School of Professional Development of Kherson State University.
As part of the Summer School of Professional Development, which starts on August 25, 2025, the KhSU Scientific Library presents a virtual exhibition "Artificial Intelligence in Education and Science".This interactive project demonstrates both past and current achievements of university teachers in the field of artificial intelligence, and also outlines promising areas of further scientific developments.
On May 16, the Scientific Library of KSU hosted a webinar on the topic "Your research is open access: working with the Zenodo platform," which was conducted by the library director, Alla Koval.The event was attended by teachers, researchers, graduate students, and students of our university.
On March 20, 2025, employees of the KhSU Scientific Library participated in the webinar "Academic Integrity: Challenges, Problems and Prospects", organized by the Zaporizhia Polytechnic National University.
On February 25, 2025, the Director of the Scientific Library of KhSU was invited to speak as a lecturer at a lecture as part of the course "Academic Integrity", conducted by Professor Serhiy Omelchuk.The topic of the lecture was devoted to software tools and services for detecting signs of plagiarism in scientific papers.
On February 19, a scientific and methodological seminar for first-year postgraduate students was held at Kherson State University.At the seminar, Inna Marchenko, a specialist from the University's Scientific Library, introduced the postgraduate students to the importance of choosing scientific journals for publications.
The KSU Scientific Library reports that thanks to the support of international partners: Clarivate, Elsevier, Research4Life, Bentham Science, Ukrainian higher education institutions and scientific institutions continue to have free access to leading international electronic scientific resources and databases.
On November 5, 2024, Alla Koval, Director of the Scientific Library of KhSU, was invited to speak as a lecturer at a lecture within the framework of the course "Academic Integrity" (Professor Serhiy Omelchuk).She told first-year students about plagiarism checking platforms, in particular, introduced them to the systems used by the university: StrikePlagiarism and Turnitin.
On October 18, 2024 at 3:30 PM, the Scientific Library of Kherson State University organized a roundtable discussion on the topic "Open Science and the Role of the Library in Supporting Scientific Research."The event was held remotely on the Zoom platform and gathered a large audience of interested participants, including both scientists and students.
The Intellectual Property Department, headed by Valeria Serhiivna Blakh, and the Scientific Library, led by Director Alla Koval, held a Round Table on the topic "Open Science Practices: From the Experience of Kherson State University."
The University's Scientific Library recently organized a seminar for postgraduate students of specialty 011 "Educational, Pedagogical Sciences" dedicated to the topic "Information Base of Scientific Research".
On September 27, 2024, the KhSU Scientific Library held the final seminar "Meeting and Introduction to the University's Virtual Scientific Library" for first-year full-time students for the 2024-2025 academic year.
The KSU Scientific Library continues to hold online meetings and consultations on the anti-plagiarism system and tools for preventing academic dishonesty. Thank you to everyone who joined the discussion!
On September 20, 2024, one of the seminars planned by the KhSU Scientific Library, “Meeting - Introduction to the Virtual University Scientific Library,” was held for first-year full-time students for the 2024-2025 academic year.The speakers were: Director of the University Scientific Library Alla Koval and Leading Librarian of the Information and Bibliographic Department of the KhSU NB Inna Marchenko.
On September 17, 2024, Alla Koval, Director of the Scientific Library of Kherson State University, held a seminar for assistant deans for quality assurance of education, dedicated to the use of the anti-plagiarism system.The event was successful and contributed to improving knowledge about the quality control tools of educational materials.Participants received useful advice and practical skills for the effective use of the system in their work.
On May 16, 2024, as part of the Days of Science of Kherson State University, the staff of the Scientific Library held a seminar "Searching for scientific information in databases and on the Research4life portal."
The Scientific Library of Kherson State University announces that changes have been made to the procedure for providing a UDC index since 2024. Currently, to obtain it, university employees and students need to fill out and send a Google Form (https://forms.gle/dZV72ptLKkWhnY7Q7) The service provision time for one document is provided in the order of the general order queue within 1 business day.
The employees of the Scientific Library of KhSU have completed a series of collective seminars-consultations on the topic "Editing profiles of scientists in databases".But we continue individual consultations.Google Scholar is constantly improving the requirements for designing scientist profiles.Such consultations are always relevant and necessary.Let's keep working!

On January 24, as part of the Professional Development School PRACTICAL DIMENSION OF ACADEMIC INTEGRITY, the staff of the Scientific Library had the opportunity to join the lecture "Myths about Integrity and Their Destruction" by Artyom Artyukhov, a member of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education. The issues of the essence and features of maintaining integrity in the conditions of the formation of a modern educational environment were considered.Attention was focused on the main myths about integrity. On January 23, the employees of the Kherson State University Scientific Library joined the School of Professional Development and had the opportunity to listen to a lecture by the rector of Kherson State University, Oleksandr Spivakovsky, "Readiness for Change through Leadership."Internal motivation, the ability to see what is really important.We talked about finding a balance between rationality and intuition, about the balance of vertical and horizontal management systems.
